UNIT 1 PROJECTS

This stamp was resembles a flower and i chose to make it since i really like flowers and i thought it would be a easy first peice.

this is my small underglaze peice which is a duckling. i started off with a pinch pot then formed the body, after i liked the shape i added the head by scoring and with slip. then used underglaze to add color and a face.

UNIT 2 PROJECTS

This is my pinch pot that i started out as a pinch pot cut in hald then i turned it into a useful pinch pot. first i shaped the shape of a small bowl so it could be used to plant flowers in. i started out with underglazing the patten of the flowers and the color scheme. Then i underglazed. i wanted to make my pinch pot into a flower bowl because i know my mom would use it for her small plants

this is my historical inspired peice. i decided to make a mummy from ancient egypt because i find them really intresting and i thought it would be a fun sculpture. I first made the shape then added on the small details. The reason i never finished it is because i knew i would not use it for anything.

for my choice peice i decided to make another pinch pot to go with my first one. Then i added a flower design in the middle and painted it blue

this is my art masterpeice and its based off of Van Goghs daisies painting.

UNIT 3 PROJECTS

this is my slump mold, which i made from a plate then formed the shape. I also turned this into my choice project since i made this design and worked on smoothing it

this is my relif carving. i decided to make a flat base and add 3D sea creatures onto it. i decided to make this because i like the ocean and i thought small animals would be cute

this is my coil building and i used diffrent types of coils to create a plate. I didnt fire this peice since the coils kept cracking i think this is because i left it in the sun and didnt score and slip them together well enough

this is my slab with darts, it didnt work out because the bottom kept caving in i think this is because i made the bottom to thin so it wouldnt stand up and it kept squishing down and flatining

this is my scraffito peice thats a small plate, and flowers carved in then i painted it blue and used clear glaze (i dont have a pic of that)
